The name of this green oolong refers to Dong Ding (Frozen Summit) mountain – the first place oolong was planted in Taiwan.
Our Dong Ding has made a round trip, however, as it is now hand-crafted by a Taiwanese tea master in its original home, Fujian.
1. Heat water to 80-90°C.
2. Use 5g of tea (3 tsp) of tea per 200ml of water.
3. Rinse the tea with hot water and discard the water immediately.
4. Infuse for 2-3 minutes, gradually increasing for subsequent infusions.
5. Can be infused at least 6 times.
Using a small Yixing teapot or gaiwan, use 7g of tea per 100ml and infuse for 30 seconds, gradually increasing the infusion time for subsequent infusions.
Dong Ding is a highly aromatic green oolong. The yellowish-green leaves are tightly rolled and produce a mild orchid taste, which lingers on the tongue.
